In addition to using ongoing self-assessment data, Tumaini DC has partnered with third-party evaluators to obtain and maintain highest standard of program evaluation and implications for improvement. Our curriculum is developed and rooted in existing peer-reviewed evidence to inform best practices and include formative and summative assessments that can be used in schools and community-based programing. 

Our previous third-party evaluations reveal statistically significant increases in student attendance and motivation for school, positive behavior, intrinsic motivation, self-management, and relationship skills.

Since then, Tumaini DC's program participation grew from one to four participating schools, three community-based organizations, and from a limited number of students to 350+ students across all sites.
